Like all fiction series The Lynchcliffe Cuckoo has some wonderfully memorable quotes. These are taken from the main trilogy but if they prove popular I will publish a Prequels quotations page too.

Franklin first shows jealousy when Margaret is unhappily expected to spend a weekend fraternising with the local county set. He has warned her that many of the guests are fortune hunters and she has told him she can take care of herself.

This quote is not just applicable to those who lost loved ones on the Titanic; it contains a stark truth for the 21st century too..
I find this exchange between Margaret and Franklin quite amusing.
“It’s about time, Thomas.” Franklin said. “Apart from my eternally youthful wife none of us is getting any younger.”
“Eternally youthful, I wish!” Margaret laughed.

I like this exchange between Michael Lynchcliffe and his former friend, Piers Saxhill, in a railway station cafe during Michael’s final return journey from the trenches.
“Well, if it isn’t Lord Lynchcliffe himself?” The voice acquired an air of contempt. “How the mighty are fallen!”
“At least I am serving my country.” Michael retorted. “There would not be enough white feathers to go round were you to take your due fair share.”
